Looking Forward

Looking forward, I am eager to partake in and accomplish an independent study on the migration of Buddhism from India to China through discourse and the movement of tangible objects. During the summer before my senior year, I embarked on a three-week research program to Xi'an, China to look at local Buddhist grottos, studying the significance, meaning, and origins of such caves. I have studied religion both at school and at UChicago Summer Sessions, and have also developed a strong foundation and interest in philosophy. Therefore, I would like to bridge my interest in these fields to produce a paper detailing my research in Buddhism through a philosophical lens.
